I was at this one in one of the front rows center. Saw lots of incredible shows at the Fieldhouse. Jackson Browne with David Lindley, Frank Zappa with Adrian Belew and this show were the standouts. The sound here was not good, but then we didn't know any better sound really existed. Fun place though to see a show.

They also played the Fieldhouse on March 20, 1971 and Feb. 24, 1973. Though there weren't many shows in Iowa, the overall quality of them is very high. Des Moines - 74, Cedar Falls - 78. They quit playing in the state not to long after this. Seemed they wanted to stick to the more urban crowded areas where they didn't have to travel much and could easily fill venues. Some great times though, rural midwest longhair Deadhead freaks - glad I was there.
